I’m so excited to share some big news: I’ve officially earned my Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation through Professional Photographers of America (PPA)! This is a credential I’ve worked hard for, and I’m thrilled to now be part of a group of fewer than 2,500 photographers who have met PPA’s rigorous standards for technical excellence, artistry, and professionalism.

But here’s the thing: this isn’t just about me putting some fancy letters after my name. Let’s talk about what this means for you as my client—and why it matters when you’re choosing a photographer.

📸 What is a Certified Professional Photographer?

CPP is the gold standard of photographic certification. To earn it, I had to:

  • Pass a written exam covering everything from lighting ratios to color management.

  • Submit images for evaluation to prove my technical skill, artistic vision, and ability to consistently produce professional-quality work.

  • Agree to uphold a strict code of conduct that protects you—my clients.

This certification has to be renewed regularly, so it’s not a one-and-done achievement. It’s my commitment to continually growing and delivering the best possible work.

💡 Why Does This Matter to You?

Hiring a photographer should give you peace of mind—not stress. My CPP means:

  • You’re working with someone who has proven expertise in creating flattering, high-quality images.

  • You’ll have a consistent, professional experience—from styling and posing to final artwork.

  • I hold myself to the highest standards, just like doctors, pilots, or other certified professionals do in their fields.

Whether you’re trusting me with your personal branding, senior portraits, family legacy, or beauty session, you can feel confident that you’re in expert hands.

❤️ My Promise

This certification is one more way I stand behind my work. I want you to walk away from your session not only loving your portraits, but also feeling seen, celebrated, and confident.

Thank you for being part of my journey—and for trusting me to help tell your story.
