A Photographer Who Knows Dance from the Inside Out

Dance isn’t just something I capture—it’s something I live.

From the moment I stepped into my first dance class as a child, movement has been my language. I pursued that passion all the way to earning a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and went on to teach, choreograph, and create within the dance world for years. My training spans ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, hip-hop, ballroom, West African, and liturgical dance, and I’ve studied under some of the industry’s most talented artists.

In 2019, I founded Central Florida Choreographers Collaboration (CFCC) to provide opportunities for choreographers and movement artists to create, connect, and showcase their work. Through CFCC, I’ve directed dance films, organized workshops, and helped shape Florida’s dance community by giving dancers and choreographers a space to explore movement in new and meaningful ways.

A contemporary dancer in neutral tones poses gracefully on one foot in a minimalist studio setting, highlighting balance, strength, and artistic expression.

So, why does this matter for your dance portraits?

Because I understand movement from a dancer’s perspective.

  • I know how to capture a perfect extension—not just mid-movement, but at the peak of technique.

  • I know how to translate strength, grace, and artistry into a single frame.

  • I guide my dancers through poses and motion sequences that look as good on camera as they feel in motion.

Dance has been my primary artistic outlet for most of my life, and being able to combine my two greatest passions—movement and portrait art—makes my heart soar. Whether you’re a professional, a student, or someone who simply finds joy in movement, I would be honored to create dance portraits that reflect your artistry in a way that is elevated, expressive, and uniquely you.

Frequently Asked QUESTIONS

Do you travel?

Yes! Yes! Dance portrait sessions can take place on location or in a studio setting arranged around your session. Together, we’ll choose a setting that complements your movement, style, and creative vision. For sessions outside Central Florida, contact me to discuss travel availability.

When will I receive my images?

Final retouched images are typically delivered within 10-14 business days after your session. Custom wall art, albums, & prints are typically delivered within 4-6 weeks.

What are your payment terms?

A session fee is required to secure your photo shoot. Payment for additional images or products is due at your ordering appointment, where we’ll review and select your final images together.

Do I need to be a model to do this?

Not at all! You don’t need modeling experience or a professional dance career to enjoy a dance portrait session. Whether you’re a student, a seasoned performer, or returning to a passion you’ve missed, I’ll guide you through poses and movement suited to your experience and comfort level.

Can I do a headshot session as part of dance photography?

Absolutely! Every dancer needs a professional headshot for auditions, company bios, and personal branding. We can seamlessly include stunning headshots during your dance session, ensuring you have everything you need in one experience. With expert lighting, posing, and a polished look, your headshot will be just as striking as your movement portraits.

Do I need to bring my own makeup?

No need! Professional hair and makeup are included in your dance portrait experience. We’ll plan a look that complements your features, wardrobe, and the mood of your portraits, so you feel confident and ready to move.

Do you help me choose images?

Absolutely! We’ll review your portraits together, and I’ll help you choose the images that best capture your technique, expression, and personality. Whether you’re selecting portraits for an audition portfolio, an album, or artwork for your home, I’ll guide you with a dancer’s eye for line and movement.

Do you offer digitals?

Yes! Each purchased dance portrait includes a high-resolution digital file and a matching printed photograph. Use your digital images for audition submissions, your portfolio, or social media, and enjoy your favorites in an album or as wall art celebrating your artistry.

What should I wear?

Bring dancewear that shows your lines and allows you to move comfortably, such as a fitted leotard, coordinated separates, or a favorite performance costume. Flowing skirts or fabrics can add beautiful movement. During your consultation, we’ll plan outfits and footwear around your dance style and the portraits you want to create.

How long does a session last?

Most dance photography sessions last 2-3 hours, including hair, makeup, and wardrobe changes.
