A Simple Q2 Check In for Women in Business
We are officially in Q2, and this is your sign to pause for a second and check in.
Not because everything is wrong.
Not because you need to reinvent your whole life by Tuesday.
Just because clarity matters.
This Q2 check in for women in business is a chance to pause, reflect on Q1, and decide what needs to shift moving forward.
Some of you had an amazing Q1. Some of you hit a few bumps. Some of you made progress that was quiet, steady, and easy to overlook. All of it counts.
I felt that myself this quarter. I did not hit every monthly goal consistently, but when I zoomed out, I realized I still crushed my quarterly goal. That was such a good reminder for me. Just because every small goal did not land perfectly does not mean you are off track. Sometimes the bigger picture is better than it feels in the moment.
So before you rush ahead, here are a few questions worth asking.
1. What actually worked in Q1?
Take an honest look back.
What gave you momentum?
What felt aligned?
What helped you grow?
What made life or business feel lighter, stronger, or more focused?
Do not skip over what worked just because it was not flashy.
2. What felt off?
This is where we tell the truth.
What drained you?
What felt clunky?
What have you been forcing?
What keeps not getting done?
Not to shame yourself. Just to get clear.
Because clarity is confidence. And confidence grows when you stop avoiding the truth.
3. What season are you actually in?
This matters more than people think.
Are you building?
Refining?
Growing?
Healing?
Resting?
Transitioning?
Your goals need to fit the season you are actually in, not the season you wish you had the energy for.
4. Does Q2 need more discipline, or a pivot?
This is the big one.
Maybe you need to stay the course because the goal is right and progress is happening.
Maybe you need to push harder because the plan is solid, but your follow through has been a little... inconsistent. No judgment. Just a loving little nudge.
Or maybe you need to pivot. Not because you failed, but because wisdom knows when something needs to shift.
A pivot is not quitting. It is adjusting.
5. Are you showing up the way you want to be seen?

If you are a woman in business, this question matters too.
Do your headshots still feel like you?
Do your brand photos reflect where your business is now?
Does your online presence match the woman you are becoming?
I see this all the time with women in The Villages and Central Florida. They are growing beautifully, but their visual presence still looks like an older version of their business.
Sometimes the shift you need in Q2 is not just in your goals. Sometimes it is in how you are showing up.
Your personal branding, headshots, and online presence should support your growth, not lag behind it.
6. What are your Big 3 for Q2?
Not twelve goals. Not a giant list that makes you feel productive for five minutes.
Just three.
What are the three most important things that would make this quarter meaningful?
Then ask:
What needs to happen this month?
What needs to happen this week?
What needs to happen daily?
That is where momentum lives. In the simple stuff. In the repeatable stuff. In the things that are not always glamorous but actually move the needle.
A final word before you charge into Q2
Do not judge your whole journey by one off month.
Do not dismiss progress because it was imperfect.
Do not give up on a good goal just because the road had a few bumps.
Zoom out.
You may need to stay the course. You may need to push harder.
You may need to pivot.
You may need to freshen up the way you are showing up in life or in business.
But whatever Q2 needs from you, meet it with honesty.
That is where growth starts.
